Lao Foundation partners with SCG International for COVID-19 relief efforts

Throughout this difficult time, Lao Foundation Inc. (LFI) has stayed true to its core mission of giving back. LFI has extended its hand to the communities that they serve and to the community at large.

Most recently, Lao Foundation, in partnership with SCG International Corporation, donated a “Patient Isolation Capsule” to Ospital ng Muntinlupa. The innovative virus protection equipment is designed to aid medical personnel in transporting COVID-19 persons under investigation or management.

During this time of pandemic, Lao Foundation has donated close to 7 Million Pesos in kind, providing the community with materials that have grown to be essential and important in our current situation.

  • 1,320 gallons of alcohol, 1,000 liters of hand soap, 504 cans of disinfectant, and 263 liters of dishwashing liquid, all amounting to P613,175.20. And a total of 11,000 Surgical Face Masks and 400 N95 masks amounting to P198,000. These were donated to more than 30 hospitals around the country through our partners Tzu Chi Foundation and TOWNS Foundation.
  • P3,224,000 was provided to Outsourced Personnel assigned to the Lao Group of Companies, who were unable to work during the pandemic.
  • P2,475,000 financial assistance was provided to 99 Lao Foundation Scholars and their families.
  • P420,338.50 worth of grocery packs were provided to Security Personnel of the Lao Group of Companies.

In this time of uncertainty, let us all do our part in serving others. LFI continues to take on the challenging task of building minds, forming hearts and changing lives.
