In 2017, the Lao Foundation launched its first scholarship project in the pilot community of Barangay Bagumbayan to serve and support the communities where the D&L Group of Companies operates. Now present in six (6) communities, and the scholarship program ever growing, the Lao Foundation aims to provide scholars the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude and inculcate in them the LFI values of integrity, service, and humility to help them develop holistically.
As a group that believes in empowering the entire community, LFI also involves its scholars’ parents, who play a vital role in the scholar’s development. Parents are provided with values formation sessions that equip them with essential life skills and a proper mindset to reinforce the organization’s holistic approach.
Select scholars who have shown leadership potential are given special sessions to hone further the strengths and skills that they already possess.
It is the goal of the program to allow scholars to continue to dream, reach their goals, and ultimately become meaningful contributors to society.

LFI’s vision of empowering individuals through education, we have produced a total of thirteen (13) graduates from SY 2021-2022. As they finish their education, our graduate-scholars looks forward to helping improve their lives and their community.
